Description

The repertoire for a violin and a piano composed by Russian composer Galina Ustvolskaya in the 1950s and 1960s has rarely been performed.

Expressive, unique and yet austere composition language is characteristic of this strong woman from St Petersburg. The pieces in this concert will be played in Finland for the first time at this concert. Choreography by the only Finnish professional inCorporeal Mime style, Reetta Honkakoski, will add a final touch to the performance.

Caisa Classequal is a concert series of equal arts that allow the artists to define themselves. Art will not be put into a subordinate and conditional position generated by the patriarchy, where the artist is forced to define themselves and seek approval through the image and actions of a white man.
