The Finnish-African band Afrojazz Quintet, founded by the artist and musician Alvar Gullichsen, is known as the house band of Afrojazz Club in Helsinki.
The band has welcomed guests such as Jimi Tenor, Sam Huber Sakari Kukko, Ismaila Sané and Meissa Niang. In addition to their own songs, Afrojazz Quintet has a wide repertoire of West African funk, reggae, soul and world music.
At Vuosaari House, Afrojazz Quintet featuring Sam Huber & Charlotta Kerbs will be treating their audience to a listener- and dancer-friendly show that takes them on a transatlantic journey from West Africa to New Orleans. Bring your towel – you might be in for a sweaty night!
