Description

The Nordic Flamenco Club, organized by the Helsinki-based flamenco collective Imperfecto Collective invites freelance flamenco artists from the Nordic countries to work together and share their art on the same stage in Helsinki.

The second Nordic Flamenco Club by the name “Northern Pulse” will be organized in March and focuses on rhythm: What is the pulse of contemporary flamenco in the North? How does rhythm and for example the changing seasons affect and determine our lives and our art in the North?

The performance will be presenting dancers Elina Robinson and Anne Riikola-Sarkkila, singer Anna Murtola, guitarist Rodrigo Gonzalez, percussionist Ricardo Padilla, palmero Laura Rintamäki and violinist Lotta-Maria Pitkänen. The performance will be illustrated by Christian Robinson’s video art and motion graphics that add a strong narrative layer to the live music and dance.
