Hetki festival

This year the Hetki festival will bring us workshops, solo performances, and discussions with five professional improvisers from all around Finland. The festival program will be live-streamed online via Maunula Houses’ own Maunula-channel and via Zoom.

Hetki festival offers the audience, performers, and workshop attendees an opportunity to be surprised, engaged, enlightened, and charmed by the art of now. It provides a platform for the community of dance improvisation professionals to gather and share their knowledge and experience in dance improvisation with all audiences and reminds us about the magic of this wonderful artform.

To us organizers, improvisation is fleeing from the fast, simplifying reality and is a possibility to choose differently, take a moment to wonder, empathize, be alert, and embrace the absurd in the world together with others.

With Pia Lindy, open to all. No experience in dance or improvisation needed!

14–18 Hetki Sessions – workshops for professionals
With: Beniamino Borghi, Titta Court, Jussi Ulkuniemi and Terhi Vaimala.

19–20.30 Performance: Four solos and a discussion with the performers
With: Jussi Ulkuniemi, Titta Court, Beniamino Borghi and Terhi Vaimala.
