Kunsthalle Helsinki will kick off its spring season with an exhibition featuring the latest work by the half-Finnish, half-Italian artist Jani Ruscica (b. 1978).
Ruscica is a cross-disciplinary artist who works across many fields of contemporary art, often weaving together sculpture, video and performance art in his exhibitions. Ruscica’s art revolves around the themes of representation and signification, delving into topics such as the layering and iteration of culture-bound imagery.
The Finnish Art Society chose Ruscica as the winner of the William Thuring Foundation’s main prize in 2018.
